I've a bit of back-end stuff to do this evening (especially turning the mods into mods), and we may be adding a few more forum areas over the week.
Big thanks due to the lovely Paul Beech, who designed and built the custom skin we're using. I hope you all find this much easier to use than the old forums; houpla!
The new forums are here!

Ace. However, can I be the first to suggest allowing users to select the good old subsilver theme? Not that I don't like the new one, but - well, actually, I don't like the new one :)

I'm with tufty but then again I could have my arm twisted simply by persevering with 'raspite'....

There is a saying no one likes change and I will have to agree , this new white formate gives me bad head. It does become slightly bearable if you turn the monitor brightness down to about 10%. Sorry not a fan.

Hmmm. Why on earth not? The white backdrop is very hard on the eyes.

On the iPad the news, forum, about etc links are all verticl on the top right rather than horizontal.....which makes the header massive.

I like it and who cares about the skin. The content is more important than the looks!

That's weird - what happens when you decrease the text size?
Are avatars coming soon? I'm missing my
If you're taking suggestions, I'd like to suggest less unused space. The new forum seems very space-inefficient relative to the old one, which had many more posts in the same screen area. I would compare it to reading a book and finding that it suddenly switched to double-spaced pages. This is especially relevant when viewing on a mobile device with a small screen.

How do I that?

Nice and quick, a breadcrumb trail would be useful though.

If you post to a popular topic, as I just did, when you hit the "Submit" button you get this:
"At least one new post has been made to this topic. You may wish to review your post in light of this."
and the resulting page has your still un-posted reply wayyy down the screen, and offset on the right half of the screen, which maybe intentional but looks like a formatting error. This is when posting from a laptop with 1440x900 pixel screen.

Eben is nicer than I am - he's enabled ProSilver for you if you want it. You'll find it in your profile pages.

Just spoken to Eben - there's a reflow bug that's causing that. We will be dealing with bugs over the next week or so (and as bugs go, at least it's not something huge that's making things unusable).
Thanks Eben, The Pro Silver has breadcrumbs, makes life much easier.

thank you thank you thank you!
Stupid question, I'm sure, but is there any way to mark everything as read? I could do that with the old forums. Also, where did my private messages go?
Thank you, much better. Put it down to poor eyesight on my part. (ProSilver)

First thing I did was go to my profile and under Board Preferences I switched to the "prosilver" theme - it may be a little dull and uninspiring but at least it doesn't do my head in. Shame really, as all the effort put into the default theme is wasted, but after the beta testing and the feedback being ignored I knew it was going to give me a migraine.
@Foundation, please tone the default theme down a bit - it's awful.
@Foundation, thanks for providing a proper forum at last!
