What if there was a Pi version Model C that had 512 megs of ram and has a 1 Ghz SoC, VGA...
A Model D could have 1 Ghz Soc, but a gig of ram, This is just a idea...

Not for a few years, it took the foundation a fair amount of time to finalise the design of two that are almost identical. It was mentioned when the model A was bumped to 256 mb that doing so keeps all Raspberry Pi's able to run the same programs. So don't expect any drastically improved models for 3-4 years (I think there was a video where Eben mentioned 2016).
VGA will not be supported unless a different SoC is used, also diversifying the raspi's. If you can't use composite, hdmi or dvi-d (through a cheap adapter) then you should look into alternatives.

I really wish that a new model would use at least ARM7 or higher, having to recompile everything for ARM6 is not fun at all.

I think it would be a big mistake if the foundation were to introduce new models at this point because it would fragment the userbase. They also have other things to worry about like the camera module and the stuff (cases, software, documentation etc) for the educational release.

Yes, but that's the real world. We're allowed to dream.

Thanks lobo! I knew there was another current thread discussing this, but didn't want to lock this one until a link had been provided!
So with that, I'm locking this duplicate thread, but please do have fun talking about this on the other thread!
