Chat

Just as an idea,a few forums that i visit have a chat window at the top of the page and sometimes l/h or r/h of page.would something like this be an idea because i think it would be very helpful for quickfire questions that are easily solved and not clog up the forum with questions that are easily solved?

Questions that are easily solved are usually Frequently Asked Questions. Asking those in a chat room doesn't help forums users that have the same questions.

For webchat there is already an unofficial IRC channel on Freenode. For those that don't want to install an IRC client Freednode has a webclient: http://webchat.freenode.net/
