Is there any place distributing R-pi in US?

Hello, I live in America and I've been wanting a Raspberry Pi for quite some time now. I am wondering if there is any place they are distributed in the US? Thanks

I live in America and I've been wanting one a long time too! I "expressed my interest" when it was released, and recently my number came up and I was able to order it, but it hasn't shipped yet. THere is still too large a backlog to get one quickly- if you order now, it will probably be a few months yet before you get it. There are only two R-Pi distributors, regardless of where you live in the world, RS/Allied and Element 14/Farnell (and their respective local subsidiaries).

Thanks for the reply, that was pretty fast! It stinks the back up time is so long though I guess I'll order soon and just wait for it.

I ordered from Element 14 the night when they started preorders and it just arrived in my hands 2 days ago (Florida). Be patient and it will come...eventually =)

Unless you want to pay a ridiculous cost in shipping don't use uk.rs-online!

Use Alliedelec.com, that's the US division of RS components

I have one on order but don't want to wait months, so I got one from ebay last night it should be here Wednesday . I paid 75 dollars buy it now kinda pricey but I'll have one in a few days. If your impatient like me I'd say go to eBay you'll find a bunch to choose from.

I ordered mine through element 14, back in april. Just got it July 13th. After taxes and shipping it came to 44 usd. I'm sure lead time is way down now that they've increased production. From the tracking number it didn't ship from the uk.
