Elegant Header Break-Out Board

Not sure if it's been mentioned before but someone had produced a very elegant 13x2 header to 20x1 way SIL serial header adapter board which allows easy interfacing of the PI's expansion header into Vero or Breadboard.

They have designed it to re-order GPIO pins0-7 which is excellent if you want to pump them into for example a ULM2308A or a bar-graph led.



It comes as a kit you solder the header on. This is good as you can have it whichever way up you want, and then you can do as you like with the 20-way connector. I suggest 20 pins downwards if you want to use to feed a breadboard, or similar into 20 way square header socket on vero.

Remember you'll need a ribbon cable, and a row of pins as required.

The only downside is the labels are just slightly obscured when the header is soldered in place.

Perhaps the header should be mounted on the other side. That way the labels would not be obscured.
