They have designed it to re-order GPIO pins0-7 which is excellent if you want to pump them into for example a ULM2308A or a bar-graph led.
It comes as a kit you solder the header on. This is good as you can have it whichever way up you want, and then you can do as you like with the 20-way connector. I suggest 20 pins downwards if you want to use to feed a breadboard, or similar into 20 way square header socket on vero.
Remember you'll need a ribbon cable, and a row of pins as required.

The only downside is the labels are just slightly obscured when the header is soldered in place.
