Hi,
I have for sale a number of PCB mounted, PDC8544 based, 'Nokia' type LCD's completely assembled and with a 26-way ribbon cable.
It supports a 84 x 48 pixel resolution and is blue-LED backlit that is controllable via the GPIO PWM channel.

The ribbon cable is 100mm by default, but I will be building them to order, so other lengths are available.

i have recieved my display PCB and Cable there a quaility product and its currently working on my Pi displaying its IP and so i an ssh into the Pi makes my life very easy now when i plug my Pi into some one elses Network . ill post the coding when i get the chance later.

I received these today and I am impressed!

Had some issues trying to get this setup and working (problems on my part), but when I got it working I used your script and it worked brilliantly.

Just need to learn python to get something meaningful in there :) any pointers.

But all in all well impressed with this little thing

could you use this to show the system uptime & IP address? plus as a Debian user and somewhat noob how easy it it to get working?

Hi Dave,
At the end of the day, it is controlled by software. If you can integrate the control of the display via software of your choice, then it can do what you want. The software you use is the key......

Texy, are you able to access the unused GPIO pins with this at all? And which pins are used for the screen?
Considering a screen for IP info on my dev Pi.

Do you mean are the GPIO pins that are not used by the display available?
If so - yes they are. I included pads that are tracked to each of the GPIO connector pins, including power rails etc. I also included silk screening to label them, but i errrr ahem, made a mistake with those as i accidentally got the orientation wrong. However this is what the underside looks like :

..the centre pads are a repetition of the GPIO connections.

The Nokia LCD board uses the following GPIO pins :

BCM GPIO17 (pin 11) - Reset
BCM GPIO21 (pin 13) - SCE
BCM GPIO22 (pin 15) - DC
BCM GPIO18 (pin 12) - LED, PWM driven
BCM GPIO23 (pin 16) - DIN
BCM GPIO24 (pin 18) - SCLK
plus GND, 3v3, 5v
