Dear RasPi-ers!

I'm glad to finally announce that my own case design is finally available! :D

Made out of laser-cut wood, it comes as a set of parts which are easily assembled together. No glue or screws needed and it takes a minute to complete!
You'll love the feel of the wood. And everyone I've shown it too likes also the faint smell of burned wood.

Furthermore I was able to reduce the shipping costs from the first estimates!

Let me know if you'd prefer to buy via Ebay, enough requests and I'll sell there too.

Nice design, seems even adequate for an acrylic case.
Just one question, how are the smaller faces of the box keep from falling apart?

@Salamander: yep, it should work out in acrylic too. I have some of the same thickness and will try it out this weekend. If you are interested I can also put some up on [url]Etsy.com[/url] (or Ebay), in various different colours. Cannot say yet anything though about the possible price.

The smaller faces are held by two means: first the fingers are made so to be tight enough to hold the box together. Secondly the addition of the two support parts tightens the hole structure further. I was working on a third support piece to hold the small sides but it turned out to be completely superfluous :D

@jojojojojojo: the Pi is held simply by the case which is pretty tight fitting. The various plugs, especially the larger ones like the USB and RCA prevent the board from moving up & down.

Can anyone tell me why I can post an image? All I get is the text "Image"...

That is lovely.

Though I know the Pi doesn't need fan cooling, I suspect some air-holes in the sides and top to allow a bit of convection airflow might be a good idea..?

I have tried running my own Pi in there for some time and it was no problem. But because I imagine most people would be concerned I will cut a few holes. New photos will come up by tomorrow, at the latest!

(finally got my invitation to order, so I've started to investigate 'everything else')

You know what you could do, is to cut holes in the top and base, in the shape of a simplified Raspi logo...

Most of us coult cut our own circular holes, but the logo includes leaves. I assume that is no problem if you've got a laser cutting machine at your disposal?

You are absolutely right, that with a laser cutter you can do almost anything!

Is it possible to order the custom case with a custom design on top and your circuit schematic design on the bottom plate? Also, is it possible to have both the circuit schematic design AND the Raspberry Pi logo vents on the bottom plate?
