I could have resprayed my Citroen BX in Ferrari red, but it wouldn't have made it any less of a crungy old smoke-generator that leaked hydraulic fluid all over the road, let alone made it a gorgeous sleek chick-magnet. If it did, I wouldn't have given it away.
