Sorry but I am a little out of date on RiscOS and if it has not moved on I guess this will be a non starter, but does anyone know if the latest version will run on the ARM chip which powers the Pi?

Please look in the forum - there is a section on distributions and there is a large thread on RiscOS, which is currently being ported to the Raspi.
