With today's announcement of new Model Bs shipping with 512MB RAM, I spotted that the firmware needs to be upgraded so that the OS will recognise and use the extra memory.
Not that I'm likely to be taking delivery of a "B+" in the next month (AFAIK), but will a simple pacman -Syu update be enough to install the appropriate new firmware to recognise the new RAM?
Many thanks

Yes. If I got raspberrypi-firmware rebuilt now, they are included. Just name of one of them to start.elf and reboot, your away. Incidentally, when upgrading the same memory split file as you have is chosen for you
