my hub is not working

im am new to the system (i got it yesterday) when i have been setting it up and i plugged in the usb hub (whitch came whith the set) and i pluged my wireless dongle in to the pi (its not that funny) and the hub into the pi then my keyboard and mouse in to the hub then i turned it on, loged on and once it had loaded my mouse and key board does not work (it does when pluged streat in to the pi) do i need to set it up or something. pleas help

I'm not too sure about this, but I do know some USB hubs don't work.

Check http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#Powered_USB_Hubs and see if your hub is listed

try with teh Hub and the keybaord 1st
