USB Camera Dongle - compatible model?

Search engine searches are flooder with official module being released Therefore asking here: what USB camera should I buy?

Any ideas of hardware being most compatible?

I chose the ASUS USB-N10 because of its size and the fact that it works out-of-the-box with Arch. It uses the r8712u module which is already installed with the distro.

I would like to find some dirt-cheap USB camera stick that will be working with Raspberry Pi! Thanks

Point stands: dirt cheap disposable webcam... I guess I better wait for the official release.

I am currently fooling around with a Logitech C170 webcam. Cost ca. 3000 ISKR = ca. 15 UKP, but that is with our insane VAT; I would expect to see it for around 10 UKP in Britain. It was automatically detected (under Raspbian) as a UVC device, and seems to work fine connected directly to the Raspi (no powered USB hub required). I have, however, not yet got an acceptable performance out of it as a webcam on the Raspi; I am seeing something like 10 seconds between frames, and a delay of around 8 minutes. I suspect that this might be something to do with my software setup though, as it claims to be delivering 7+ fps, which would be quite acceptable for my purposes.
