I'm not sure if this is in the right area but.....
I want to power my RPi from a mains powered USB hub and power that hub by something like a Li-ion battery or something along those lines. Is this possible? I've seen several rechargeable power supplies like this battery
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-DC-USB-5V ... 4601488952
powering this hub
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Speed-HU ... 3a70591021
and then powering the RPi from the hub, I'd also like to use the hub for my keyboard, mouse and hoepfully in the future a USB tft.
Thanks for any help,
Simon (total novice)

I've seen a few photos of people doing exactly that. As has been said the micro USB port doesn't receive data so if you power it with a USB hub also connected to the USB port on the Pi it should be fine, just know that you're out one port that you could be saving using a regular adapter.

Do you think this battery pack supply enough mA's?

I've got a 80gb 2.5" IDE in an enclosure running off USB I want to use, so in total I'd have running of the battery supply:-
USB hub
RPi
Hard Drive
Keyboard
Mouse
Possibly a screen
Maybe a wireless dongle
I'm not 100% sure if it will be ok? I'm a total n00b when it comes to electronics so learning as I go along.
Thanks
