Minitel

Reckon there might a few of these available from Saturday night. A few going for €10 on eBay.fr, but real value is close to zero

Does anybody know anything about the hardware? I think there were 10 or so different models.

Seems there is a text only screen with up to 320x240 resolution. X.25 line speeds of 1,200 to 9,600 bit/s, but the modem is driven by 5v TTL connection through a 5 or 8 pin DIN connector. I found this hack (french) on the net.

Possible project to mount an RPi inside the minitel terminal and connect the R-Pi via a MAX-232 => RS-232/USB adapter. There may be other/better solutions.
