who has a 3d printer?

look for a helpful individual with a 3D printer who doesnt mind making up a case to hold the PI + 2.5" hdd in one of those slim hdd cases.

if they can pm me a cost of it and maybe a sketch of what it would look like that'd be kool.

Maybe we can make a case to fit in the floppy drive of a regular machine....
I can print some stuff for a small price and shipping obviously.
(think around 5$ for anything around the rpi)

3 1/2" floppy drive sized cases are the best idea I've seen for a while
though what I'd like is a holder that will
a) hold the RPi firmly
b) have 4 holes so you can screw the holder into a 3 1/2" drive space [with the sides or underneth]

I don't have any friends with 3D printers, but there's always Shapeways.

Yes you have Shapeways, but for a mediabox which houses a 2.5" HD it will be very very expensive.
Just draw a box the size it requires, using 1.5 mm walls and remove the bottom and it wouldn't surprise it it would cost more than 50 euro.

You could also check on some 3D printer forums if someone would help you.

But better is to find a existing housing to your liking and put some creativity in it to get the RPi pcb fixed into place.
