I would have bought the first plastic case - it is very elegant.
I'm sorry, I don't like the aluminum case. It looks ugly to me.

If you are looking for a fully enclosed 'plastic' case, have you checked out www.modmypi.com where you will find something very similar to the one originally shown in this thread?

Very nice indeed... but far too expensive for me, I'm afraid!

Very nice case !
But it's too expensive !
A case that cost 80€ to protect a Pi that cost 25$
I prefer taking risk to break my pi and buy a new one instead of buy a very expensive case like this one

Yes indeed we discussed the price with our manufacturer and we can lower the price by increasing the quantity ordered 300 units.
The price of case is now € 62.90.
Given the quality of case and options we can not do a better price.

This will not be your case because you do not need it but for prolonged use every day this case is entirely consistent with the expectation of some customers.
The plastic cases are much cheaper but it's not for the same use.

It is super cool - for me to justify the cost I would have to be using it in a dedicated high value project or in a situation phere the pi is in physical jeapordy like in an autonomous vehicle/drone.
It looks military grade - can you stand on it?
If you could work out how to waterproof it via silicone rubber inserts and add fixing lugs you've got a very unique selling point.

Slightly off topic but I have an Xtreamer mini keyboard (as in the imageon page 1) but the touchpad only works intermittently. What keyboard can I select in raspi-config to get this working correctly?
Cheers

Pictures we received from the factory.
Soon we'll be able to make a new video for Case V3 and other high resolution pictures.
Please note that the screws will not definitive black

For keyboard Xtreamer please be sure that the battery is charged or a reconnect to the keyboard and dongle with reset see manual.
Might also be defective because for me it works fine up to 4 meters

Why not fit a hub to the lid? I can recommend the one I bought :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004 ... 02_s00_i00
