Analog audio popping/hissing

I'm using the headphone jack as an output to my stereo and I'm getting a little static/popping sound. Is there anyway to clean that up? Alternate grounding or something?

If it's not the sound of a not fully inserted audio jack and and the sound is constant, then use a use a different impedance input on your amp....
There was a bug where XBMC would pop on play/seek/stop, but it's a not as bad any more...
