skype............

hi, sorry to bother you again......................................I have a raspberry pi on order........does anyone know if skype, not the video calls because the camera module isnt available yet......but does anyone know if the skype chat works?

Skype for Linux is not compiled for the ARM CPU in the Raspberry Pi so it won't run.
Also, the Raspberry Pi doesn't have audio input.

Thank you, how ever you could of used a Bluetooth headset, or a USB headset as these would bothe work, for gaming and other program's.

I don't have Skype running as an app but I do have the Skypekit running an my Pi.

I am taking part in the Skype Development program where you have access to the Skypekit, which you can use to build your own Skype Application.
