If the ARM incompatibility was the only thing stopping us from loading windows 7 onto our raspberry pis then why can't we load the RT version (for ARM chips) of windows 8 onto our RPi? If we have an iOS of the rt version of windows 8, is it possible to install it on an RPi? If so, how?

I believe that version of Windows requires secure boot which the Raspi does not have.

Not to mention a board support package, and a generation of ARM processor upgrade.

Windows 8 or WIndows 8 RT for Arm devices? It's the second that requires secure boot and a load of board support package code.

How do you get the BSP anyway ? Don't you need to sign a contract
and give Microsoft some thousand dollars ?

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
