I've just started a kernel cross compilation on my fairly underpowered Ubuntu box. It appears to be going OK as I write. I'm just wondering how long it might take to complete as I know from the few times I've done x86 driver patches it's a very slow machine. The machine spec is AMD Athlon or Duron (whichever is the quicker), 1.2 GHz, 768M of RAM, Would anyone like to hazard a guess please?
( I hope it finishes before bedtime as the fan is as loud as a hover mower!)
Cross compiling - time to complete estimate?

Finished - not too bad, about 90 minutes in all.
