How to tell if I'm overclocked?

Hey guys, me again.. good news, my Raspberry Pi came in today & I'm talking to you all from it

I recently just overclocked it, somehow got it up to 900MHz - but how can I be certain? I can't tell if I feel any faster.. I'm hoping it worked but >.< Raspbian's config.txt is odd because after plugging the card in & booting it, the overclocking section disappeared so I just wrote in arm_freq=800, then I just kept editing and rebooting until I worked it to 900 - but it doesn't seem faster. Is there anyway I can check system info and see the clock speed? Or run a benchmark and compare scores?

open a terminal and type:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

under "bogomips" that number is roughly your clock speed.
