Account recovery (username/email combo does not exist)

I am unable to reset my password on the new forum - hence this being posted under temp_user that I just created! When I enter my username and email on the reset password page, it comes up with

Information: The e-mail/username information submitted could not be found.

When I search for the error on Google, it looks like it's a problem when the phpBB database doesn't have the email hash set; I guess it's possible that the script that transferred the old forum data to the new forum data copied the email address but didn't copy/set the email address hash?

Please, can someone look into this?!

I registered as "mangobrain" under the old forum, have just tried to log in for the first time since the migration, and have discovered I can't!

When trying to recover my password, I get told that the given username & email combination doesn't exist. Can anyone here help?

I've tried to log in using my account 'wozarib' but it gives a password error. Trying to recover it yields the same error that someone else reported, "username/password combination does not exist".

I'll look into this: in the meantime can you PM me with the orignal user ID and the email you used to register the original (to prove credentials) and I'll reset your password for that account.

After a long hiatus I am now no longer able to login using my original username and the recovery option also tells me I don't exist. Original username was toadstool. Could someone rescue me please?!

Hi guys, Chris here. What follows is all my fault...

Months ago I registered with the forum, using my email address:

I tried to log on again yesterday (April 13th 2012) but couldn't remember my password, so I selected the 'Forgotten password?' link. I then found that I couldn't remember my username either. So no contact of any sort.

My only option was to re-register using a different email and a new username and password, which I have now done. However, I would like to return to using my original email address. I can't find out how to change it, but even if I could, it wouldn't work because it is already in use from when I originally registered.

Ideally, I could do with a 'Forgotten username and password' option, which would send both of those to the hotmail address, but that isn't available.

What I need you to do is to delete my old account completely, and then tell me how to change the email address for this account. So can you:

1. Search for email [redacted by mod]
2. Delete the account it is associated with
3. Tell me how to change the email address of this account to:
[redacted by mod]
