Hello,
I would like to suggest solution for too long topics about USB issue. Wen I read all posts I have a problem of finding true information about issue status.
I suggest add separate blog only for Gordon and the other people, who they work on solution to the problem.
Now is very hard guess current status of USB issue.
USB redux - proposition
9 posts
Raspberry Pi, model B, revision 2, 256MB RAM; Raspbian; Huawei E3131 modem (it works
); EasyCap 4CH USB DVR (it almost works)
I'm so sorry for my English.

We are planning that for the USB redux thread, and I will be deleting off topic or posts that just clutter it up. If that doesn't work, we'll think of something else.
In the meantime, the Wiki might be a good place to collate stuff, if someone wants to do that.

Dear Jamesh, Liz just came and closed "USB - the Elephant in our Room" - thread that I read for months!
Why she did that?
Jamesh, when you plan to create blog (or please, give us an address)? Where can I now meet GSH and read about his work & investigation?

Please read carefully before posting. Everything has been nicely explained
in the Elephant thread and in the "Redux" thread.
EDIT: And in the posts here , too. Seriously , do you read them at all ?

In 'elephant' thread I don't see any explanation. There is no information about new thread (no name of new thread, no link to new thread). I don't even remember if Liz posts on this thread.
"USB redux" http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=23544 will be much longer that elephant's 33 pages and what? Somebody will come and just close it?
Those long threads have their own community that read it for months. (And of course if all would work fine there would be no such long threads.)

Yes. That's why I asked about link to this new blog.

I can only repeat what i said : Read closely and apply common sense.
What do you mean by that comment ? I'm not sure what you're really after.

That was my frustration which looks like that: why to make investigations, why to gather knowledge - if thread will be too long ... it will be closed. But if it was out of topic should be closed much earlier.
Nevermind ghans. Now I will sit on "USB redux".
Thank you.

The Elephant thread was closed because it was getting clogged up by more and complaining and less and less real information. The redux thread will give a fresh start, and that is where Gordon will be posting. I will also be removing any posts there that don't add to the knowledge base.

Great news jamesh! Good idea to build it as clean knowledge database.
Waiting for information from Gordon GSH!
