Well, it sure does make sense. Before posting this, I did a quick search on the forum and found no one talking about a hardware solution, topics about routers are basically about converting the RPi in a simple wireless router, which, I like to think, would render RPi into an early Fonera. That's nice, but I'd like to bring the sugestion:
Shouldn't the Raspberry Pi Foundation consider making a RPi model that has dual (hopefully gigabit) ethernet and a wireless chipset?
I know there are many solutions currently on the market that would fill the gap, like Mikrotik's, but it might be feasible to maintain a good price point and still having some profit reverted to the Foundation if, for instance, the video support was dropped. Of course, I know nothing about hardware design and, as such, am probably dead wrong, but... here's the idea.
