Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

At this stage I'm just hoping that pi will turn up at the front door

BTW My Order# was in the 22,000 range @ May 19th and got shipped July 4th so it got shipped in about 15 days and from there it only took 2-3 days to make it to my door.

The email sent said to expect to wait 4 weeks so I'm very happy it came in about half the time

My online order reference is # 9423
Payment on 17.Mai.2012 and despatch expected within 3 weeks.
But until today (9.Jul.2012) have not received information about it.

Are the RS people on this forum answering emails any more?

Based on my o/n, my Pi should have been with me by Sunday but it hasn't shown up. I have emailed Mike@RS but no reply so far.

just received a shipment confirmation from farnell:

Those complaining about RS on here should try Farnell for a lesson in poor service - I think they are both struggling as much as the other in terms of delivery fullfillment and customer service quality at the moment.. I can't imagine they treat non-pi customers like this..

I ordered an RS Pi on 1st June (66xxx) which is on track to ship sooner than one I ordered from Farnell on April 1st (7xxx).. so for the moment I have more hope in RS, but that will probably change when that shipment date goes whooshing by next week.

Well, my order number is just shy of 61000 so should drop by 8th July (Sunday).... I've yet to receive a shipping email or missed delivery card (today's post not included). They still have a couple of days.....

Mine is around there also, but don't forget that it is week commencing Sunday 8th July, so they could despatch it on (for example) Friday 13th and still be within that week... we will just have to wait and see what happens, I think!

They don't seem to be answering me any more. I had a response on the 12th of June and nothing since, despite me sending a couple of reminders. My RPi should have been with me around 4 weeks ago.

I ordered mine from Allied in early March, order #2500072***
It arrived on June 28 and works fine.

However, I was billed CDN $45 for the Pi, and $64 for shipping; I don't recall that any shipping cost was quoted at the time of the order, and it seems excessive. I would like to order another couple of Pis now, but not without knowing in advance what the cost will be.
Has anybody else been charged this (I live in Toronto, Canada)?

I've sent an email to RaspberryPi@rswww.com (with tracking code) almost a week ago, and received no response. On 5 July I also called Allied on their 1-800 number, the fellow who spoke to me explained that the separate amounts were for the Pi and for shipping, he said he'd flag the issue to their Rpi handler, and they would contact me. No response there either.

RS ignores my emails, too.

Also they've forgotten this thread. I don't think my Pi will arrive till end of july. (56xxx)

I guess there are thousand others customers out there, also wating for their Pi's, who don't look into this forum. They will all get disappointed and this feeling will fall back on the Raspberry Pi team.

RS was a wrong choice

Make sure you select UPS Worldwide Saver as the shipping method from Allied NOT UPS Standard

I mistakenly picked the UPS Standard rate and my shipping cost to British Columbia (from Allied in Kentucky) was $86. When I complained about the shipping rate Allied's customer rep reduced it to the UPS Worldwide Saver rate of $19. So final cost from Allied was $61.86 ($36.23 for Pi $6.63 taxes and $19.00 shipping)

I don't recall selecting a shipping method. And, it says right in the email from Allied, "Items back ordered more than 7 days will be shipped via UPS Ground." But they shipped it overnight. I guess a 15+ week delay from the order doesn't count as "back ordered more than 7 days ?!?"

bwoodbury did you complain after or before they shipped? Because I never once saw a quote or even an email notice for the shipping, just a charge on my credit card.

My complaint was after shipping as Allied gives no information about the difference in shipping costs until after the order is on its way

I am in the UK and I ordered my Pi from RS on 30th April. Estimate was six weeks and my number (55xxx) confirmed that.

Yesterday I got an email from Parcel Force that the Pi would be delivered today.

So my experience is not that bad. The delivery was just a few days later than predicted. Based on that experience, my advice for UK customers would be to wait a week past the estimated date before worrying.

I have no information about my Raspberry Pi, order number 28826, purchased on May 22.

How can I contact the RS? Emails are answered?

My RS order is 71XXX. Haven't heard anything so far, so I guess I'll be waiting a while.

I ordered from RS UK on the 28th June and had an order code 118xxx (How high?) with an ETA of 11 weeks (making it around 2 week of September).

I can only say it's a good job it's my second one so I'm in no hurry.

Is there any chance that Mike, or someone else from RS could update the 'Shipping Table' in the first post please, to reflect the current situation?

I am sure also that this would help reduce the number of 'Where's my Pi... it's now x days overdue?' posts in this thread!

I am aware that this is outside the control of the Foundation, but hopefully this thread is checked occasionally by someone from RS!
