Invitation to order from RS

Got an invitation to order with RS.

Unfortunately when i click the link the authorisation code box is disabled and i can't proceed.

Anyone else getting this?

Same here! I rang them and they know it's an issue. They'll be sending me another, working link apparently!

Yup, I'm getting the same here.  With a bit of jiggery pokery you can get the authorisation code in but then there's no way of submitting the form.

I think RS might have let us down, again.

Same here, the box is disabled in any browser I try.

Wonder if they've sent out the emails a little in advance or in batches and not activating the box until they've all gone.

So we need to call them? Or is everyone that got the mail with the bad link getting a new link?

i think they had the same problem with the first batch that went out, but have not been able to find the solution.

I was really excited for 5 minutes when i got the email until i found out i could not actually order!!!

i tried on google chrome, Internet Explorer and firefix .

If/when it works, at least they claim it'll be sent in seven days!

Mine just started working! Try refreshing, guys! ORDER CONFIRMED.

The page updated and ordering worked!!!

I just refreshed and the textbox enabled itself and the Enter Code button appeared.  I pasted in the code and hit the button,  after a while it said "The entered code is not valid".   I tried again and got "

Error

An error has been encountered. The IT department has been notified of this error and will endevour to fix any problems as soon as possible.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience."

So they are definitely having problems.

think its getting DDOS'd. Sooooooo slow.

Managed to get mine ordered as well. So excited (a few people in my office were surprised at my sudden raising of arms)

If you cannot type in your code, try this:

1. DO NOT click the red Raspberry Pi store button in the email.


2. Instead, click on the text link "If this e-mail isn"t displaying correctly please click here. " at the top.


3. Then click the shop link from the web page.

This fixed it for me (might have been a coincidence )

Actually - managed to get in.

the trick is the change the last '0' in the link to a '1' and the fields become enabled.

however, i did get a lot of errors occuring during the process, but i managed to complete it with some back pressed and refreshes.

It is painfully slow and full of errors. Thankfully if you're just a tiny bit patient and keep trying you'll get through eventually.

Really looking forward to getting mine!

I finally managed to order,  with about 4 errors along the way.  I decided to use PayPal as I thought their servers might be a bit more robust.    My order number is between 1800 and 1850 so I'm one of the fairly early recipients probably,   I managed to register my interest at about 06:10 on PI Day when our DDOS attack occured on their servers.

Just, had the confirmation email too!
