I wrote Current state of Rasberry Pi kernels while reading and chatting with people on IRC as well as reading relevant mailing lists and wikis. In case someone else is interested.

http://www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2189885/ ... nits-video <- nice bit of video with Eben - and I'm not sure off the top of my head, but this might be the first time we've shown a Model A to cameras.

Les Numeriques have just received their Pi and are starting playing with it. They are THE reference consumer electronics site in France, they test oodles of TVs, Phones, Tablets, Cameras, ... They are not very active in desktop PCs, a fair bit more in laptops. I know I don't buy anything without checking with them first, and sometimes only with them.
They had 3 millions unique visitors in June (about 1/13th of Google, 1/10th of FaceBook: http://www.lesnumeriques.com/divers/aud ... 25066.html, http://www.journaldunet.com/ebusiness/l ... 0612.shtml). Funny how the VLC site (which comes from a French engineering school) does 3x that ^^ Competition would be Clubic (less elitist ?), Tom's Hardware France (more old-style DIY PC types), and Blogee.net (started as a netbook resource, evolved towards tablets, phones and HTPC)
http://www.lesnumeriques.com/raspberry- ... 25158.html. No review yet, just a heads up they've got it.
Much less well-known english version: Digital Versus, http://www.digitalversus.com/
PS: Where else would the Pi be compared to a pack of cigarettes, not a credit card ?

You guys are part of the reason the Raspberry Pi has been so successful, and your help for new users on the forums is a big part of that. Thank you.

My first post from RPi and using Riscos!
*EDIT
Hmm, interesting! Link doesn't quite work when using Firefox under Windows. And doesn't show it all using Netsurf under Riscos.
Google "Raspberry Pi News" and the Financial Times link works. Will be harder to find as it goes out of date though.

Just back from the pub, saw a copy of the Daily Mail while there, and they have a similar story to the FT one above about the Raspberry Pi helping RS maintain a profit in an otherwise depressed international market.
Alan O'Donohoe turned the tables on the BBC's Rory Cellan-Jones (and his son Rufus) and interviewed *him* about the Raspberry Pi after yesterday's Raspberry Jam in Cambridge. Thanks all!
