Will the units ship from Cambridge?

If the units get shipped form Cambridge is there any chance for impatient locals to just stop by and buy a Raspberry pi in person rather than going through the post?

Afraid not - we\'re going to shipping units directly from the factory to the warehouses of the fulfilment company we\'ll be using. And while we\'re very friendly and really enjoy meeting people at conferences and trade events, I\'m afraid I\'ll have to discourage people from dropping in at the offices once we\'re working from there - while we\'re keen on disruption, we\'re not so keen on having our working days disrupted!
Guess i\'d better cancel my plane tickets (and the order for the copious amounts of drugs required for me to fly) then. I was hoping your office was going to be above the indian restaurant that everyone used to use in cambridge for their computer startups

Hmmmm - so perhaps we need a research project on which curry is most effective at powering a Pi? Obviously there will be differences between the Model A and B.....

Those old offices above an electricity showroom are now an incredibly swanky private members\' club above an Italian restaurant. I think most of us would feel right at home there.

It looks like one of the other places startups used to use for the first few months is now a swanky architects and the whole building has been renovated.
