Hexxeh r3, mmc0: Controller never released inhibit bit(s)

I was running Hexxeh's r2 image for a while without any issues. But when I tried r3, using the same SD card, I started getting lot's of "mmc0: Controller never released inhibit bit(s)" everywhere, including at the login prompt. I appreciate any help.

Thanks

I was getting this during the first rpi-update installation. It rebooted ok and have not seen it since.

rpi-update indeed fixed the issue.

It was probably an SD card driver that needed to be updated;

Thanks.

I got this error after adding this options to /boot/cmdline.txt :
Code: Select all
sdhci-bcm2708.missing_status=0 sdhci-bcm2708.sync_after_dma=0

If it is added, remove it.

There are two options there:

sdhci-bcm2708.missing_status=0

and

sdhci-bcm2708.sync_after_dma=0

One of my sd cards runs well if I remove the second option.
So try adding them one at a time.

Right. Sorry fo me being a little lazy here. I found that as a solution for loosing USB packets and tried it. It caused my SD to remount read only at boot (lots of write errors), what rendered my squid unusable. I discarded both options without further testing (waiting for final solution?). Mentioned solution for USB comes from http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=154539#p154539 and it is for sure worth further testing, but I am just being impatient. I will try to investigate some time later.
