This thread is intended to provide an FAQ for any license key ordering issues. Please read the information in this post and only reply if you are still having issues after following the advice given.

The license keys are issued automatically by email at 1AM GMT each day. The email is sent to the address given by the customer as part of order checkout. As the orders are processed automatically every 24 hours it is likely that you will receive your keys within that time frame. If you do not receive your keys then it is likely that it is due to one of the following issues;

Problem: The email address you provided is incorrect (e.g. spelling error, wrong account)
Solution: Email store@raspberrypi.org with your correct email address

Problem: The email sent by the store containing the licenses has been incorrectly marked as spam by your email provider
Solution: Please whitelist store@raspberrypi.org before submitting an order with the store and check your spam filter if you have not received your order.

We aim to deal with all emails sent to store@raspberrypi.org within 24 hours but please allow up to 2 business days during periods of heavy traffic.

If you have not had a reply to your issue from store@raspberrypi.org within 2 business days then please post your issue as a reply to this post. All previous threads concerning license delivery will be closed and merged into this one.

Thank you for your help before.

Liz thanks for all of the great responses in the forum. I have been trying to get my MPEG2 codec to work on my Pi. Sadly we are still having issues. the store basically stopped responding to me earlier this morning so I forwarded you the last e-mail I sent them.

I did receive my codec within the 72hrs. The issue is the code is not properly unlocking BOTH the MPEG2 and WVC1. It is only unlocking the MPEG2 codec. This is causing a major issue with ISO playback via xmbc. This is the ONLY reason I paid for the codec is to play my ISO files of the many movies I have just burned directly to my NFS server.

Code: Select all
[kayla@localhost ~]$ ssh pi@192.168.2.203
The authenticity of host '192.168.2.203 (192.168.2.203)' can't be

redacted my code from above. I have verified multiple times that the code was copied exactly as the initial e-mail indicated.

@lleb
If you ordered both codecs then you should have received 2 activation codes.
However, your config.txt seems to show only one.
What was shown in the email that you received from RPi store?

this is the exact email less a redacted key:

Thank you for purchasing codec license keys from the Raspberry Pi Store.To enable codecs on your device(s), add the following lines to the config.txt file in the FAT partition of your SD card:

decode_MPG2=0xxxxxxxxx

If you want to verify that the codecs are now enabled, the following commands will report their status:

vcgencmd codec_enabled MPG2
vcgencmd codec_enabled WVC1

Regards
The Raspberry Pi Foundation

That is all I received. It has now been over 24hrs since I last heard from them and I am still broken.

[/code]root@openelec:~# /opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd version

Copyright (c) 2012 Broadcom
version 375458 (release)
pi@openelec:~$ vcgencmd codec_enabled WVC1
WVC1=disabled
pi@openelec:~$ vcgencmd codec_enabled MPG2

There should have been 2 lines in the email.
Try a PM to Liz with a link back to your post 2 above this one.

well that would explain part of it. So if I follow you there should be 2 licenses that I paid for, yet I only received the one.

Thanks, Ill send Liz a PM.

The official way would be to send email to store - see FAQ entry a few posts before yours.

I ordered an MPEG-2 license key over a week ago (as a guest) and received
a confirmation of my order #53170 in my inbox, but I haven't received a key.
I've also received no reply to my inquiry from 4 days ago.
(I've checked my spam folder, too.)

Did you (previous few posters) send a query email to store@... as described in the mini FAQ above?

I ordered both license keys about a week and a half ago and never got a response. I chose to checkout as a guest, so I'm not sure if that's the problem or what, but I emailed the store email address and didn't get anything either.

HI,

at March.31 I ordered a MPEG2 license key + a T-shirt as #59304
Due to ester weekend the order was paid a April.2 but until now I neither received a order status update (besides the order confirmation to my email address) nor an answer to my inquiry to store email address yesterday.

So any kind of update is really appreciated...

best regards
Ralf

I ordered both an MPEG-2 and a VC-1 license on April 4th but have not received anything. I even checked my spam folder. My order (#60495) was placed as a guest. I sent an email to the store email address a few days ago, but have not received a reply. Any help would be appreciated.
