Do you have ANY idea how long it takes to row a longship from England to Norway? :-)

Hahahaha, longer that I'm willing to wait, I reckon.

My order reference number is 101020XXXX.
So my shipping should be between 10th - 16th Dec. (based on shipping table)
I am curios, if I will receive email on Friday (because I don't think that they will ship RaspPi during weekend and also my ID is not last in table).

Just wanted to let you know that I email them yesterday and receive info

Good Afternoon,

Good News! Your order was dispatched on Tuesday 11/12/12, we sent a dispatch confirmation to all orders that were to be sent out, apologies if you didn't receive one. The email stated that we are expecting shipping to take 5 working days for European countries, and 21 working days for Countries Outside of Europe. As for tracking information, we are sending via DHL Mail, which has no track and trace capability

I think that if i didnt mail them i wouldnt been informed. Whatever, my pi should be here in Poland begining of next week at the latest.

Hard to say... I have an order I put in a bit earlier than that, and I received:
---
[Waiitng is the hardest part]

That's why we wanted to say THANKS for your patience as we work our way through the Raspberry Pi backorders.

Your business is important to us and we want to hear what you think.
Let us know how we are doing.
---

That's on order number 2500340xxx placed on 19 Oct. IIRC, the estimated ship time when I placed the order was 47 days, so they're not horribly late...yet.

Vic and Mike, Customers of Allied USA really do still need a shipping table. This is not fair, and was promised by you months ago.

JoeyJoeJo: you can try logging in to your account on the site to watch order progress.

But sounds like it will be a while, this fellow ordered Sep 4 and just got his in Canada:

viewtopic.php?p=232969#p232969

They did promise all orders by a certain date would ship by Dec 21, did you get that email?

I am thinking a lot of the unreceived shipping notifications from RS in UK may be getting caught in spam filters in their online emails and not seen by folks only downloading email with a local email client. That can happen, so folks if you do not check your email online, try that to see if that is where shipping email is.

Are orders necessarily shipped in numeric sequence?

my order 10101857xx is still not shipped but there are lots of 10102 already shipped.

i guess i might be one without a notification email... hoping for a Christmas present instead of a valentines day present....

Hi,

Your Raspberry Pi Order 1010137871 refers.

I sent an enquiry last week Friday (7 Dec 2012) and received no response yet - except for the acknowledgement of receiveing the query.

Dispatch notice was dated 13 November 2012 - it is now more than a month later, and I still don't have my unit :(

Please assist

That component is not required as long as you have a good power supply (it is only a smoothing capacitor). It is very prone to breaking off as it is in a location where one might be gripping the board when plugging/unplugging the power, so it probably good luck that its presence does not seem to be at all critical. If you have adequate soldering skills it is also easy to replace, although if you are going to do so there is a case for using a component with a higher capacitance rating.

Ok thx, i don't have any soldering equipement so I just let without the capacitor. I buy the power supply on the RS website.

follow up to my post from Tuesday:
- still no news from the Allied local branch regarding the RMA
- cancelled my request this morning: I can boot the Pi using a Dual USB-A -> micro USB cable.
(similar to http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-USB2HAUBY1-Cable-External-Drive/dp/B0047AALW6/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_3 )
apparently none of my 3 1A usb adapters was actually able to deliver the required juice, including the very one that I ordered from RS (that also happens to be the weakest one on measuring the voltage between TP1 and TP2 at 4.85V)

that might be off topic for this thread but I thought I'd share. Please feel free to re-post / relocate.

order date: 24 aug 2012
shipping according to RS timetable: 3 and 9 december 2012
estimated delivery time: 14 weeks
ordernr: 1010180xxx
country: Netherlands

I'm waiting 16 weeks now and it remains silent from RS.
I see here that later order numbers have been dispatched as expected according to the RS timetable.
This really leads to confusion for RS didn't send me a message for the shipping nor for the delay. Nothing !

When should I start reclaiming ?

Perhaps another silly question: where does the rent of all customers prepaid money go ?
3-4 months rent must bring something somewhere don't you think ?

Anyone any idea ?

Now waiting for delivery (5 days mentionned in the dispatch mail) :)
