you can skip 2, 3 and 4 entirely. Then you'll find out the lack of GPU acceleration through LWJGL and glitchy OpenGL support (due to pi plain not supporting it which is common on ARM), slow CPU and little RAM all stack up to make 1 fps.

Sorry Jonas! The Raspberry Pi isn't powerful enough to run Minecraft! Believe me I wish it could too! :D

You are correct, in regards to Minecraft PC...

However, don't forget Minecraft Pocket Edition. It runs on mobile devices, with the same specs as the RPi- 1GHz Processer, (As low as 700MHz) 512mb ram, running Android OS (Linux based), with OpenGL ES 2.

It is running 60fps 1080p using JamVM + OpenJDK + Raspbian armhf.
Xerxes Rånby @xranby I once had two, then I gave one away. Now both are in use every day!

It is closed source and is actually written in C++ according to jeb on twitter (current lead MC dev) in order for them to be able to support iOS. It also was made specifically for ARMv7 not v6 although that shouldnt be the hardest thing in the world to correct.
