I bought the Belkin F5U700 hub and it worked a day before failing. I am wanting to replace it with a decent cheap hub that can power the pi. I would prefer a 7 port, but could do a 4 port.
What are you all using and what would you recommend I try?

You can try the Macally 7-port USB Hub.

I have one and I have found no issues with it on the 256Mb or 512MB versions of the Pi.

It's well-built, the ports are spaced out enough for larger connectors, and it powers my Pi, a cooling fan, and connects all my peripherals just fine.
