How did this meet go?

We're talking about having a chat session on the 12th June 2012 at 9pm UK time here:

No idea what will happen but it'll be fun all the same.

I was the only one there from this thread, although I left before the others, so maybe someone else turned up later on. I think someone said they have a Raspberry Pi (I don't ATM). The gathering was interesting and has prompted me to try to get down to the local HackSpace too - which I've been trying to arrange for months now...

Anyway, I'll bear in mind the chat idea. Thanks.

Oops - sorry, I forgot about this. A couple of us are looking into organising a Bristol Raspberry Jam anyway! :)

For starters, we could do with a low-cost venue.

Bristol / south west user here.

I'd love to join any group / attend any meetings that are going down.

Starting to work on my own big Raspberry pi based project and I would love the feedback and support.

hey!

i'd would defo be interested in getting together with some pi buddies :)

don't know where to suggest for a venue though... most of my hanging out is done in the pub!

could see about space upstairs at hamilton house, i suppose schools and colleges, and community centres, i'm based in montpelier but willing to travel, lets face it... bristol's not that big! networking might be a bit tricky, with no monitor i like to talk to my pi via ssh... or a serial connection would also work, although i don't know why i haven't tried this yet....

Hi All,

A Bristol Raspberry Jam has been organized. We would be really excited to see you at Bristol and Bath Science Park on the 20th August.

We are seeking guest speakers that would like to talk/ demonstrate any projects you are working on, and express ideas you have for the future of the community... and of course network with other RPi enthusiasts!

The Heber team will be presenting the RPi with X10i a USB peripheral with controllable LED’s, RTC, Switches and Stepper motor control, and will be on hand to discuss compatibility with the credit-card sized computer.

If you would like a ticket, please apply here, they are going fast so don’t miss out!
