Hi all. I was hoping someone here could give me some feed back on my problem here. I got the Pi booted using the Fedora 14 raspberry pi remix. It is extremely slow however. Mouse lag, keyboard lag, etc. Is this normal? or do I have to load some modules that are not loaded by default?

thanks!

If I remember correctly, that was one of the problems with the Fedora Remix that caused the foundation to deprecate it in favour of the Debian Squeeze distribution. See the downloads page.

As rurwin says, there was problems with the fedora, you would be best off using debian squeeze!
It's just as good ;)

Thanks a lot for the info guys! I'm gonna load some debain on it tonight and see how it goes.

The fedora distro is defiantly lacking GPU acceleration.

OK so debian works 100% better than the fedora 14 remix. I tend to use more red hat based distros, so that is why I tired it first. I also remember reading a wiki stating that it was the recommended distros for beginners to the pi. I think that wiki is a bit dated by now though. So I would recommend not using the F14 remix unless you really want fedora on your pi. Hopefully F17 will have better support.
