I have installed Debian “squeeze” on my Pi and want to use it for internet access and also to play MP3s via the audio jack..

I see it has a built in music player. Can this be used to play MP3 files if so how do I load my MP3 collection from my PC onto the SD card?

Thanks for that. Think I will try the Windows share.

My music player app actually disappeared when I removed LXDE, but I can confirm VLC works great for audio-- it just doesn't utilize the GPU, so you'll need to use omxplayer for video files
