I created a node.js i2c package that works great with the Raspberry Pi. Check it out

I have had some good results with this library until I upgraded Node.js to the latest stable release (v0.10.17) then boom, crash dump! Has anyone out there had success with this library on v0.10? I was upgrading in hopes of getting rid of some segmentation faults. If not v0.10 then what release is the latest with which this lib has worked?

Thanks,
Will

Well done!

It will be nice to monitor data from my sensors attached to the Pi. I think that in combination with highcharts it is now straightforward to monitor your attached devices.

I am having trouble with this library as well. I am using two versions 10.x node - 10.9 and 10.21.
When I scan, the bus crashes and I can no longer see my device with gpio i2cdetect.
Also, when connecting the sample code on github is
Code: Select all
var wire = new i2c(address, {device: '/dev/i2c-1', debug: true}); // point to your i2c address, debug provides REPL interface

Try that, but if it doesn't work, use
Code: Select all
var wire = new i2c(address)
