Hello everyone,
I try to put my raspberry pi fixed IP without breaking everything.
My goal is to install node js thereafter.
So I followed several tutorial.
I edit / etc / network / interfaces as do this:

auto lo

iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet static -> static in place of dhcp

-> addition of line
address 192.168.0.14
netmask 255.255.255.0
broadcast 192.168.0.255
gateway 192.168.0.1

allow-hotplug wlan0
iface wlan0 inet manual
wpa-roam / etc / wpa_supplicant / wpa_supplicant.conf
iface default inet dhcp

when I ping 192.168.0.1 I see that this IP is static.
I think I got what I wanted.
But I'd like to have this connection by wifi.
I saw and I tried to change
/ etc / wpa_supplicant / wpa_supplicant.conf
by adding
ctrl_interface = DIR = / var / run / wpa_supplicant GROUP = netdev
update_config = 1
-> addition of line
network = {
ssid = "newkirk-open"
scan_ssid = 1
key_mgmt = NONE
}
but I do not see the wifi when I search with my phone.
The network does not appear.
If someone can give me a track.
Thank you in advance
Stéphane

Are you trying to connect the Pi to a existing wifi network and configure the Pi using a static IP address ?

Can you paste the contents of /etc/network/interfaces and /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf within the Code tags ?
