Hi all,
I have installed openelec on the Raspberry pi and i want to play a movie from a usb drive, i am using a SanDisk Cruzer (1gb) with a couple of small videos on it. The problem is that i am unable to locate the drive after plugging it in. Its not showing up in /media/sd . The drive has been formatted in NTFS.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Best,

Hi sandbox,

Not sure why you're looking in /media/sd ... have you tried looking for it through the xbmc gui?

What does the lsusb command return over ssh?

I read on some forum post that the usb drive is mounted at /media/sd. I have tried looking through the gui but i cant find it , is there any place specific i should be looking?

Also the ssh shows the usb drive. What could be the issue?

You are correct that the drive should be auto-mounted by xbmc.

The output of

df -h

will should you what drives are mounted and where.

If it's not there then unplug it and put it back in, then inspect what's returned by

dmesg |tail

which may give a clue as to why it is not mounting.
