Hi guys,

has anybody (succesfully) tried to deploy from a Qt Creator running on Windows or Mac OS?

I get the device set up with no problems, I even have an Arm Toolchain for windows, but I'm struggeling to optain a Qt version for the Pi thats Windows respective Mac compatible....

any thoughts?

Define "deploying", your question isn't making much sense. Also making almost identical posts is not recommended.

The double post was due to the approval process that I wasn't aware of...

By deploying I mean, coding & and building with an windows or mac based IDE (f.e. with Qt Creator) and than running (deploying) the executable via network on the raspPi...

This would make Softwaredevelopment much faster and easier... since I don't want to run an extra Linuxmachine...

I tried, but it doesn't seem possible. So, I am using VMWare with a Fedora install.

I got my original Fedora 17 from here:
http://www.thoughtpolice.co.uk/vmware/

My notes during the setup process:
install vmware player
install fedora vm
start vm
vmware asked me to install linux vmware tools - I did
go through the Fedora wizard on first startup
install qt creator from qtonpi
install qt tools/sys from qtonpi
install qt5 sdk from qtonpi
setup qt creator as described in qtonpi site
sudo yum groupinstall 'Development Tools'
sudo yum install augeas-libs
-- can now build/deploy and run

Hi all,

Very good question.

I've tried the same - to deploy to RaspPi from QTCreator running on MacOSX, without much luck.

Would be interested to see what people's setup instructions are for at least attempting to do this.

Will let you all know if I have any success...

Cheers,
Rich

I Richard,

could you tell me how far you have gotten so far?
What toolchain did you use?
