Hi everyone,
i make a new subject, to keep this one (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=17200&p=249903#p249903) clean.

I'm a french user of the Raspberry Pi (model B).
I mainly bought it to use Grooveshark in my living room.
The problem is...why is it so hard to launch Grooveshark on this little box ? :(
I tried (everytime on a new installation) :

• Raspbian. apt-get install chromium > html5.grooveshark.com. The UI show up, but the song does'nt load. The shell tell me : Uncaugh Type Error : Object #xHTMLElement > has no method play ...
• XBIAN / RASPBM : install the Grooveshark Addon, but it seems it require a Grooveshark Anywhere account (premium account // http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?ti ... pid1284898) :/
• After seeing the post (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=17200&p=249903#p249903) of KTWS, i try Bhodhi Linux, with Midori : html5.grooveshark.com works fine, but the song can't load...same as Chromium, and Iceweasel doesn't want to open itself (critical error...)

Does anyone has a solution ? Did i miss something ? A plugin maybe ?
Is there a way to install flash (for use the classic grooveshark version) ?

Thank you !

If you haven't already, try using rpi-update (https://github.com/Hexxeh/rpi-update) to update Bhodhi Linux to the newest Raspbian firmware and run
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Hi, KTWS.
Thanks for your reply.

I tried :
Code: Select all
sudo wget http://goo.gl/1BOfJ -O /usr/bin/rpi-update && chmod +x /usr/bin/rpi-update

then
Code: Select all
sudo rpi-update
(before, it asked me to install git and binutility)

then
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

but, it doesn't work :/

It may be a missing sound driver but i'm afraid I don't know which one Midori uses as it worked out of the box for me.

I also have VLC media player and Guayadeque mp3 player installed so it's possible that Midori is using one of their dependants. Try installing them and see if html5.grooveshark.com starts to work:

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install guayadeque

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install vlc
