Sorry, but I thought you were referring to the sticker code before.

On my (Farnell) Pi, the Board code is 1218 and the Sticker code is 1205 which ties in also.

I wonder what the RS one will say... when it arrives!

My Pi from RS seems to be near to the one antijn has problems with - I haven't had any issues with mine running arm_freq=850 at otherwise standard settings. Apologies not very good at wiki editing so all details below - happy for someone else to add them.

Hi,

I've got a board with the same SMSC chip as marcoalexcampos, and I've got lots of problems with USB HUBs and USB peripherals in general.

I wrote the details of my board here: http://elinux.org/RaspberryPi_Boards


I tested different power supplies and there's no problem with them , the board is always in the right range.

I tested different peripherals, and I bought a new USB HUB among those that are sponsored as "verified" in this list: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals

Last test was with Belkin F5U706ea USB HUB and I've got this error on eth0 even without any cable connected to it.

With another USB HUB (Dlink DUB-H7) I had other kinds of problems with the Wifi USB dongle and the sticky keys from the keyboard.

This is the list of my USB peripherals I've got for my tests:

    * USB HUB Dlink DUB-H7
    * USB Keyboard Logitech K400
    * USB WiFi dongle Dlink DWL-G122

I'm gonna give up on this board, do you think there's a way to receive a new one as replacement ?
Is there anyone with this SMSC chip and no issues? (I saw a "certain" Mortimer on the list)

Can you check out the 'USB elephant' thread - this has some fixes for the problem you are seeing - not completely but should improve USB a lot.

I knew the thread, but I still need some hint to do something more rational than testing any component configuration I imagine.

I updated to the latest firmware and debian wheezy image, and USB problems seem to be gone.

I just got 2 R-Pi's from Element 14 (one for me and one for my son).

I could not get HDMI output until I forced hdmi with

I have used 3 different USB connectors, each providing 1A. When probed with my multimeter at TP1 and TP2, I get around 4.80 - 4.87V with each.

I have been unable to get the network to come up at all.

USB is working.
I have tried to get networking started with ifup eth0 both at the command line and within Xwindows.
I never see any of the LEDs for the NIC light at all, even when doing an ifup eth0 and the NIC should be activated, listening for my DHCP server.

I have plugged my USB keyboard/mouse into a powered USB hub with no luck.
The only other posts that I have seen about lack of networking was from folks with bad power. I feel like my power should be sufficient, if not acceptable. At this point, I am unable to identify if this is a board issue, or PEBCAK / OSI Layer 8.

What tests can you suggest?

So far working fine. Haven't really tested thoroughly yet. I've run Raspbian no problems, and Raspbmc/OpenELEC, with some issues of constant buffering. Tried power from a iphone cube, will try from a powered hub next. Also tried running from Lan, WiFi adapter, and USB hard Drive with same stuttering.

Rock solid stable (for the most part) as long as the power supply has >1A current. :)

However, I do have one issue with it: the camera input/output quit working. "raspivid -d" would not produce any output, and the command window would hang until i typed ctrl-c. The camera light went on at command entry, but would stay on after ctrl-c. (Same behavior with "raspistill" command.)

[Edit: Having seen several posts from other users describing similar to identical issues, the general consensus seems to be that it is either the RPi board or a software/firmware issue that is the cause of the fault.]

Would it be very beneficial to have a cross reference of board version and hardware revision (and perhaps the hardware serial number too) on this list: http://elinux.org/RaspberryPi_Boards ?

I know my new Raspberry Pi (Micron RAM) board version is a "BM1329" but that doesn't tell me much. A lot of cross referencing and researching on Google is needed just to find out the fundamentals. A central core of more in-depth information would be easier. Although the screen printing on the underside of the board says "1329" there's also a tiny sticker which says 18/11 on it, which I'm not sure what that refers to.

Got mine at element14 a week ago and so far no problems. Model B overclocked to 1ghz and tested this http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Overclock_stability_test with no problems. Reading speed 18.9Mn/s and writting 6mb/s using the Noobs SD card that came with the Pi.
