Connecting a Pi to a Cisco 3550 PWR switch

I'm waiting for my Pi to ship. Like most of us I've been getting the peripherals (case/USB Hub/Kbd/Mouse/SD Card) while I'm waiting. The switch I'm currently using in my test area is a Cisco 3550 PWR. It supports 802.3af PoE. I've never had any problems w/ other devices if they don't support PoE, but I'd prefer not to smoke my Pi when I first plug it in so I figured it was worth checking. Anyone have a definitive answer? OK? Not OK?

edited to add: I am not planning on powering my Pi from the 3550. I just want to make sure it won't smoke the Pi when I plug in my network cable.

Might as well answer my own post now that I have an answer. I didn't expect any problems, but I'd seen a few posts where it was asked if someone was using a PoE switch. I've got mine hooked up and none of the magic smoke has come out.
