Hello,
Everything is in the title :p
Yes, I'have read faq.php#f2r1 and I understand that it's needed on such a big forum but I was wondering for the people who have a project and would like to keep the first post up to date...
in example : I would like to edit the two first post of this thread : viewtopic.php?f=35&t=7739

Thank you for reading :)
edit : I don't like my title  it's more like "Is it possible for a few posts to stay editable?"

In that case, maybe a wiki or blog would be more appropriate?

The problem is that your original post won't come up as "new" (i.e., "unread") for people, so the net result is that no one will read your updates. That basic to the way forums are designed to be used.
Never answer the question you are asked. Rather, answer the question you wish you had been asked.

Yes, a blog or Wiki entry woudl be more appropraite I think. Then on the forum thread just post a link to your latest blog/Wiki update.

I will try to find a wiki and/or a git.

phpBB has a Bump setting: You can only bump a topic if you are the author or the last poster. A topic that is bumped will appear as unread topic for all members.

Bumping in phpBB is a Forum permission which needs to be set per forum per usergroup/user.
Note that in ACP - GENERAL - Post settings you should set the "Bump interval".

Another thing that would be nice if they set it up.
